The British Fashion Council (BFC) annual Fashion Awards celebrate the best of the fashion industry across the globe. The nominees for two major awards were announced last week -
the Designer of the Year award and the BFC Foundation award.
The Designer of the Year award “Recognises a British or International designer whose innovative collections have made a notable impact on the industry. "Previous winners in this category include: Daniel Lee, Pierpaolo Picccioli, and Raf Simons.
The BFC Foundation award celebrates emerging designers who have created an impact on the global fashion scene over the past 12 months and have been mentored and supported by the BFC. Both the nominees and winners for all categories are voted for by over 1000 members of the International Fashion industry.

•Jonathan Anderson for JW Anderson and Loewe
•Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons for Prada

•Priya Ahluwalia
•Richard Quinn
Tommy Hilfiger will also be honoured at the event with the Outstanding Achievement award, as it was announced last month, for his “continued commitment to creating an inclusive brand that champions people from all backgrounds and experiences."
The BFC Fashion Awards will be held at the Royal Albert Hall on 29 November 2021 with social media platform, TikTok, as the host and principal partner of the event. This partnership will provide global streaming of both the event and red carpet for fans all across the world.
