New Music Friday: Tracks from Mary Middlefield, Lost Girl and more!

Paris-born, London-raised, Iraqi rapper and artist psi.ko returns to the ether with her incendiary new release, 'To Me, From Me' – dropping alongside a visually striking official music video that solidifies the young creative as part of a new generation of Iraq’s art history. On “To Me, From Me”, psi.ko sets out to hold her future-self accountable by narrating her hopes, reiterating her roots, and humanising her inevitable errors. The deep but succinct chorus ‘if I looked you in your eyes, would I see your soul? Or maybe someone that I didn’t know’’ highlights psi.ko’s penchant for introspection and growth.



Sam Wise

South London rapper and House Of Pharaohs member Sam Wise released his new EP None The Wiser that was produced by a select crew consisting of Jamo Beats, O12, Tyler Turner & Ameka, 808 Charmer, Kadiata, TK The Producer and ac flow. The six-track project shows off Sam Wise's knack for lyricism as he navigates through life. Displaying ideas that he is still growing and developing as a person, his leading single 'Thankful' reminds us that he takes into consideration the people around him and the lifestyle he currently lives which acts as a sweet finisher towards the end of the year. Pushing the boundaries with his storytelling and flow, Sam Wise is ending the year on a high.



Lost Girl

Rising singer Lost Girl releases her latest single 'Trust Issues' as she slides into her R&B side. By having previously made a name for herself in the Garage scene, Lost Girl allows herself to be emotional and vulnerable in this emotive track. 'Trust Issues' is an intimate and confessional track that allows us to see a different side to Lost Girl as she speaks on a toxic relationship. With a handful of big collaborations through the years with Hardy Caprio, Ivorian Doll and Backroad Gee, Lost Girl is gearing up for 2023.



Mary Middlefield

Budding Swiss singer/songwriter Mary Middlefield released her track 'Two Thousand One' which weaves through thoughts of a complicated, toxic relationship and breakup. Whilst Mary wrote her feelings out, she also touched on the emotional abuse she endured throughout the relationship that is heightened with synths and poppy drums. "The process of finishing the track happened so quickly, it was recorded two weeks after it was written, but it's definitely one of my favourites to date. I love how the song offers emotions from the head and heart which people often get during difficult moments within a relationship. It's a fun, sad, Folk song."



DETO BLACK

London Based multidimensional artist and rapper DETO BLACK releases her new single, the dreamy hyper pop fused with rap rhythm 'Drop Off'. Before the release of 'Drop Off' she was featured on the london—pop duo Coco & Clair Clair’s debut album 'Sexy' in which she delivered one of the most iconic verses of this year on the song 'Be With U'. After her debut, DETO BLACK has proven time and time again how versatile her sound, style & creativity can be and is here once again to convert and steal the souls of everyone over a fully immersive soundscape. Drop Off gives off playful and flirtatious vibes for independent women who still demand princess treatment from the men they entertain, all whilst calling all the shots and being on top of their game.



AntsLive

North London’s hottest rising talent AntsLive returns to the soundsphere with his brand new release and visuals to 'Skeet', the second offering from his highly-anticipated forthcoming EP It’s Just A Matter Of Time.
